While the straps themselves can be mixed and matched, the transmitter pods won't work with each other. Mine is the newer version of the Garmin premium strap (the elastic continues between the studs for attaching the transmitter), but I think that's the same as what is sold with SUCCESS! It stays like this for about 10 to 20 minutes.

No gel. It still works just fine with my Polar watch when I run inside and use the elliptical with the added benefit of getting accurate HR readings with my Garmin. Do you launder the strap after every 5th [or so] use? I almost get the feeling that instead of actually tracking my hr, it's averaging my heartrate but registering 0 for the second half of the run, and constantly averaging the increasing
I tried the Tesco brand, and the spikes came back. Interesting fix?! These pimples would nudge their way through hairs and get a skin contact in a faster time than the flat surface.
