Passthrough is to let the streams bypass the sound card and go out to the external receiver. -This is where the problem is. sadly there is no speaker config for spdif in win7 tried ac3 filter but no luck any ideas? If your graphics card has HDMI output and the receiver has HDMI input, use HDMI. IIRC, S/Pdif passthrough is used to allow the encoded info to passthrough the card to the digital output.
