For Reference, the directions on this link above are the following, which worked for me: Edit your /Applications/XAMPP/etc/php.ini file Look for ";sendmail_path" And write the following: sendmail_path = "env -i /usr/sbin/sendmail smtp_sasl_auth_enable=yes smtp_sasl_password_maps=hash:/etc/postfix/sasl_passwd smtp_sasl_security_options=noanonymous smtp_sasl_mechanism_filter=plain # Enable Transport Layer Security (TLS), i.e. You only need to know the SMTP host and port. have a peek here anyone else encountered this?
So is just did not use this command line and continue with the tutorial and everything will work perfectly.
