does anybody here own a 2000 polaris sportsman 500? I have not seen a surface mount version of this speedometer in person so the instructions below do not necessarily apply. If the speedo is shorted out, expect to lose your 4x4 sooner or later as well. Repair also requires good unsoldering and soldering skills and equipment - and a soldering "gun" doesn't count.
