Position:relative doesn't seem to let me add top/bottom/left/right to influence the position of something. I never use absolute positioning, and was stuck until I made my containing div relative.   2. You should be able to use "left" and "right" but "top" and "bottom" will have different behaviour, because of how vertical percentages work in CSS.
