On mine I had to drop the whole regulator assembly and wiggle the window around a bit to get to the bolts holding the glass. Thanks! Also make sure the regulator and everything else is cleaned and lubed well if the regulator works fine by itself but when you have window it doesn't work. -Abel - E36 Any info is appreciated. I just don't know what the problem could be here. What do you guys think the problem is?

And things may have deteriorated inside the assembly and jammed the mechanism. I think the clicking in the switch has something to do with the auto down function. I had to do this a few times. I re-set the assembly and all is well. If the lights don't dim. And when they sometimes do come down the won't go back up.
