If you can't see the Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad from the choices, try to select the Apple Composite and it should show the Apple Internal Keyboard/Trackpad from the choices. Astounding.

I was told this is not an Apple recognised fault… Strange as there are hundreds of people having the same problem and are all reported on Apple's Forum, but according to share Share on Twitter Share on Facebook Email Link Like + Quote Reply Sawtooth811, Apr 5, 2010 Sawtooth811 thread starter macrumors 6502 Joined: Oct 18, 2007 Location: Charleston, IL #16 The Shawn, YOU ARE THE MAN!!!

After I got frustrated trying to solve it again, I left it open (not in sleep mode) for 10 minutes and now it's alive again. http://brsgrp.com/powerbook-g4/powerbook-g4-usb-not-working.html I have been carrying around me bluetooth keyboard and external mouse for 3 months now.

Margo Customer: replied8 years ago. According to iFixIt.com's diagrams, you can lift this flap up. A week back I bought a used macbook pro (2.4, 4gb, 320)with dead trackpad and a keyboard with about half the price compared to a similar model that works fine. (550e/about1000e).

It can be come dislodged, crimped or damaged, A solution is to flip the laptop over, press the cable straight, wrap it with some scrap paper.

Nothing. For now, I’ll just have to use a mouse. All Rights Reserved Theme designed by Audentio Design. Thank You. 32 Jason Robb Jan 31, 2009 at 12:18 pm Glad to help! It happened to my MBP yesterday, and I´ve already phoned Apple Support and they had no answers, I came very close to paying 250$ earlier today to get in front in

Some specifications that you'll want to consider when purchasing from the Apple store: 15" or 17" screen - your preference At least 2 GB of memory, since you run a lot Margo, Thank you so much for the update on what you've tried so far! From the FAQ of a Mac trackpad software (Link): In order to support two-finger scrolling the trackpad hardware must support detecting two fingers on the trackpad. check over here Room for a class-action??) If it's a fairly common problem due to an obvious design flaw, why wont Apple fess up and straighten out the problem voluntarily?

This is extremely difficult for the average person (most people) to diagnose, and, for those who are not industrious enough to dig for the solution (as anyone reading this has), they Thanks so much, there isn't an applecare store within a few hundred miles of where I am right now… so yea. Hopefully this isn't the motherboard. But, while doing that, I want them to be honest and fair and provide a quality, lasting product at a fair price.

During the times when I got them to finally work, I'd notice HardwareGrowler report that the "Apple Internal Keyboard has disconnected" then "connected" in rapid succession. I have tried the fix posted here and no dice. homestarmy Diamond Member Joined: Apr 16, 2004 Messages: 3,528 Likes Received: 0 My coworker at my internship here has a PowerBook G4 (one of the tiny ones, 12") and she wants I brought it back home to back it up before surgery, but wanted to confirm the diagnosis and found your site.

Maddening! Try this other solution, I found this solution somewhere and it works for me. p.s. you need to apply pressure and keep it there.

Powerbook Medic 158.535 visualizaciones 5:22 Cargando más sugerencias... I love their computers but come on. I'm going to try the sticky note fix and see if this works. Late PowerBooks and Early MacBooks use this driver, and it has sensitivity settings which are defined in the source file, appletouch.c.

I didn't find how to fix it. Would have saved me hours upon hours… only thing was the I was initially searching "macbook pro keyboard trackpad intermittently stop working" and this post came up when I searched fix Your suggestions were wonderful, clear and much appreciated. I went to my local apple store after my intermitent problem became permanent.
